DIAMOND VALLEY DANCE ACADEMY DIAMOND DANCERS

The Diamond Team program was started in September 2004. This program was designed to give students the opportunities to perform more often during the year then just in the annual recitals. Though the Diamond Dancers started mainly as a performance team, it has more recently steered towards the Competitive arena. Last seasons Diamond Teams competited in Riverside, Palm Springs, San Diego, Magic Mountain, and Las Vegas. Auditions are held every August for the next dance season. (Fee's are due no later than Saturday, Jan. 19th)   April 17th-20th, 2008: Kids Artistic Review East County Performing Arts Center El Cajon, CA. (Fee's are due No Later than Saturday, March 1st)   May 23rd-26th, 2008: Showstoppers Disneyland Hotel  Anaheim, CA. PICTURES AND RESULTS FROM THE 2007 DIAMOND TEAM SEASON
	We took a small group for an optional workshop in Las Vegas called "The Pulse".  It is a workshop conducted by the Celebrities from So You Think You Can Dance TV Show.  The kids had a great time.  We all stayed in the same hotel and they got to dance, bowl, play games and swim.  It was like a small family reunion.  Check out the photos HERE.

SHARPS 2007

We opened our competition season with SHARPS INTERNATIONAL Dance and Cheer Competition.  It was here in Hemet at Hemet High School.  It was a good warm up excercise for us.  We got to compete against studios from Hemet, San Jacinto, Corona and Lake Elsinore.  Dartmouth and Diamond Valley Middle Schools were also there.  The dancers took "Overall Grand Champion" at this event.  Photos can be seen here .

HOLLYWOOD VIBE LAS VEGAS
	Next we had an optional event in Las Vegas.  Hollywood Vibe is a Convention and Competition.  The kids did great.  For only their second season of competion they held their own against kids who had alot more time invested in dance.  Again, we stayed at the same hotel and the children got to hang out and the adults had some "Adult Un Wind Time".  Check out the photos HERE.

SPOTLIGHT DANCE CUP RIVERSIDE CA

This is a great competition and it is our second time attending the Riverside Event.  The dancers did AWESOME with Andrew getting a FLAWLESS DIAMOND for his solo routine and OVERALL HIGH SCORE FOR THE NOVICE CATAGORY.  Willow placed 3rd Overall for her solo and Rebecca placed 4th Overall for her solo, both took home the Diamond Award.  WALK THIS WAY placed FIRST OVERALL with the HIGHEST GROUP SCORE!!! Steven Tyler would be Proud of what you Dancers Did!!! Way To Go!! QUADAM placed 4th Overall and improvement was seen in all dances!! Way To Go Kids!!  Miss Beth was really proud at this event.  She was able to see some old dance friends and dancers from Carlsbad Dance Centre, that she taught years ago, who were competing in the Senior Divison.  Delaney and Morgan also won the Photogentic Awards for thier respective age groups.  Photos can be seen HERE .

STARBOUND SAN DIEGO
	We were on the road again to El Cajon for Starbound!!! The Diamond Dancers held thier own against some tough studios, Georgia's (Owned by one of Miss Beth's Former Teachers) and Touch of Class.  There was some awesome dancing on stage!!  All our dances received Gold Awards, and Andrew receiving a High Gold!!  Walk This Way took home a Special Award!!   CLICK HERE FOR NEW PHOTOS

KATY RADIO PROMO

This was going to be a long day.  We had planned to dance at the Breast Cancer event at West Valley High School, but when we got there, the stage was too small and we did'nt want the kids to get hurt, so we had to pull out.  The Perez's took a load of kids to thier community pool close by, and they all went swimming.  That afternoon the Center Of Excellance, where we lease our studio from had a Radio Promo with KATY Radio.  The dancers got to perform during a LIVE RADIO BROADCAST!!  Click here to see how they did!!

RAINBOW CONNECTION FALLBROOK

We danced against some outstanding studios.  A couple of them have been on the competition circuit for 5 or 6 years, but they danced right up there with them! Many Dancers took home stuffed bears, frisbees, t-shirts and other items that were thrown into the crowd by the MC from his "Pot Of Gold"!!  Way to Go Dancers!!  All the dancers received either High First or First Place Awards.  Andrew (1st), Willow (6th), and Won't Grow Up (8th) all placed in the TOP TEN in the NEWBIE CATEGORY!!  Mr Ty placed 1st Overall in the Pro/Am category.  Miss Beth, Miss Nicole, Mr. Ty, Miss Lynette and Miss Heather P are SO VERY PROUD OF ALL YOU!!!  The new photo slide show is now done and can be found HERE .
